SYSTEM FOR DEPARTURE CLEARANCE OF A VEHICLE

A system for departure clearance of a vehicle is provided. The system includes a vehicle including a processing device and operational systems for operating the vehicle, and a mission control system in communication with the processing device of the vehicle. The system performs operations including transmitting mission parameters from the mission control system to the vehicle, and querying and receiving data at the processing device of the vehicle relating to road conditions and weather conditions along the intended route. The operations include autonomously determining whether the mission parameters can be met based on the received data relating to the road conditions and the weather conditions. The operations include transmitting to the mission control system a “go” indicator if the mission parameters can be met, or transmitting to the mission control system a “no go” indicator if the mission parameters cannot be met.
