Method and control for providing electrical energy from a driven alternating current synchronous machine

The method involves performing operation of generator of synchronous machine (1) in passive mode by opening upper switches (S1-S3) and lower switches (S4-S6) of inverter (2). The supply of electrical loads of vehicle with electrical energy from intermediate circuit capacitor (C) is performed. The shorting of windings of machine above second higher threshold is performed by automatically closing all lower or upper switches of inverter through direct current link voltage. The automatic release of active short-circuit to fall below first threshold is performed by opening closed switch (S1). An independent claim is included for controller for providing electrical energy from driven three-phase synchronous machine.
