At the start-up operation of the fuel cell system, out of raw gas components adsorbed to the catalysts filled in a fuel processor, an amount of desorbed raw gas desorbed by a temperature rise in catalysts and supplied to a burner unit 12 is estimated. An amount of raw gas supplied from a raw gas supply device to the burner unit is adjusted according to the estimated value such that a ratio of combustion air separately supplied to the burner unit to a total of the raw gas supplied from the raw gas supply device and the desorbed raw gas falls within a predetermined range. Accordingly, stable combustion of the burner unit can be continually performed at the start-up operation of the fuel cell system.",
