Traction drive with a drive engine and a geared device with switchable gearbox and variator

The traction drive has a drive motor (VKM) and a transmission device (G), which comprises a manual gearbox (S) with multiple switching stages (ST1,ST2), each with a fixed transmission ratio and a variator (V) with a continuously variable transmission ratio. The variator and a releasable clutch (K1) of a switching stage of the manual gearbox are connected in an upstream manner.
