Method and device for automatic adjustment of an orientation of a light beam emitted by a headlight of a motor vehicle

The method involves delivering light beam (13) relative to a vehicle longitudinal direction in a pre-determined angle (delta) relative to a reference axis in such a manner that the light beam is reflected at a lane (20). The reflected light beam is received, where distance inclination (gamma) of forthcoming lane section (25) of the lane is determined relative to a momentary lane section (24). The orientation of the light of headlight is adjusted depending on the distance inclination. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic adjustment of orientation of light delivered from a headlight of a motor vehicle.
