A rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly (10) having a first electrode (11) and a second electrode (12), a first case (5) housing the electrode assembly (10) and electrically coupled to the first electrode (11), and a second case (15) electrically insulated from the first case (5) and housing the first case (5), wherein the second case (15) is electrically coupled to the second electrode (12).
