Wheel rim and method for manufacturing a wheel rim

The rim has a rim base, which is limited by two side sections (2,3) and an inner ring (5) connecting the side sections. The inner ring is provided with holes (12). The outer surface of the inner ring is coated with a film (9), which extends over a part of the width of the rim. The rim is formed from a hollow profile rail, which is made of aluminum alloy in an extrusion process. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rim.
