Sound-absorbing mass with emulsion polymerisate and fluorinated compound

Sound-absorbing paint comprises: a polymer dispersion obtained by emulsion polymerization of radically polymerizable monomers in water-dispersed polymer having a glass transition temperature of -60 to 60[deg] C; inorganic fillers; and at least one fluorinated compound comprising perfluoroalkyl-substituted carboxylic acids or their salts, fluorocarbon resins, surface active, fluoroaliphatic polymeric esters, or fluoro-containing copolymers based on acrylate. An independent claim is included for damping vibrations or vibrations of components of vehicles or machines, comprising providing the sound-absorbing paint, applying the sound-absorbing paint on the components of vehicles or machines, and drying.
