An interval to an upcoming path guide point or to output of an upcoming maneuver instruction on a preset route is determined (S2) as a reaction on the detected telephone calls. Signaling of the incoming telephone calls is delayed till the instruction is issued when the determined interval falls below a threshold value. The maneuver instruction is provided with an instruction, which is modified relative to the originally provided maneuver instruction, in form a shortest instruction.
