"textContent": "Disclosed is a bearing unit (9) for a turbocharger including a rotary shaft (7) at one end of which and the other end of which a turbine wheel (5) and an impeller (12) respectively are provided, and of which on the turbine-wheel (5) side is formed a large-diameter turbine-side step (20), the rotary shaft (7) being supported between the turbine-side step (20) and the impeller (12) such that the rotary shaft (17) is freely rotatable, the bearing unit (9) comprises a turbine-side ball bearing (21) in which balls (23) are located on the turbine-wheel (5) side, an impeller-side ball bearing (22) positioned such that balls (24) are located on the impeller (12) side, and a positioning step (38) configured to restrict movement of the inner race (32) of the turbine-side ball bearing (21) toward the turbine wheel (5) and to position the turbine-side ball bearing (21) such that the end (32a) of the inner race (32) is separated from the turbine side step (20).",
