"textContent": "In an EGR system which performs the recirculation of an exhaust gas by using a high pressure EGR passage and a low pressure EGR passage in combination, an EGR control system capable of detecting a ratio between a high pressure EGR gas and a low pressure EGR gas is constructed at a lower cost. Provision is made for the high pressure EGR passage that connects between a portion of an exhaust passage at the upstream side of a turbine and a portion of an intake passage at the downstream side of a compressor, the low pressure EGR passage that connects between a portion of the exhaust passage at the downstream side of the turbine and a portion of the intake passage at the upstream side of the compressor, a detection means for detecting a change in a predetermined characteristic of an exhaust gas in the exhaust passage at the downstream side of a connection part thereof with the high pressure EGR passage, a changing means for changing the characteristic of the exhaust gas, and an obtaining means for obtaining the ratio between the high pressure EGR gas and the low pressure EGR gas in the entire EGR gas based on a delay time after the characteristic of the exhaust gas is changed by the changing means until a change of the characteristic is detected by the detection means.",
