The battery cell includes: a housing and an electrode assembly accommodated in the housing, where the electrode assembly includes a positive electrode sheet, a separator and a negative electrode sheet, which are arranged to be mutually stacked, the separator is arranged between the positive electrode sheet and the negative electrode sheet, and the separator is provided with a first edge and a second edge arranged opposite to each other in a first direction X; the positive electrode sheet is connected to a positive electrode tab; the negative electrode sheet is connected to a negative electrode tab; the positive electrode tab is provided with a third edge away from the positive electrode sheet in the first direction X; the negative electrode tab is provided with a fourth edge away from the negative electrode sheet in the first direction X.
