The method involves dividing a stabilizer into end-sided portions (5, 6) along a longitudinal extension based on model calculations and/or executed measurements. Bending stiffness of pipe elements (2-4) is adapted to loading requirements of the portions by changing cross-sections (Q2-Q4) of the pipe elements. The pipe elements are bent at different shapes, and the stabilizer is joined to a pipe piece (1) by material-engagement connection of the pipe elements, where the pipe piece comprises the pipe elements. Material of the stabilizer is thermally treated for changing material properties.
