Mirror assembly for monitoring a passenger interior of an airplane

The arrangement (10) has a flat mirror element (40) for reflecting light, and a mirror mounting unit (20) for fastening the mirror element in an inner side of a passenger cabin. The mirror mounting unit includes a holder (22) to which the mirror element is fastened and moved relative to the passenger cabin. The holder is moved between an operating position and a resting position, where the mirror mounting unit includes a receiving opening (30), in which the holder is partially received in the resting position. The holder is pivotally formed around a pivotal axis.
