The air control element has a distribution flap (14) firmly connected to another distribution flap (16) over a common pivot axis (6). The two distribution flaps are designed as a single piece, particularly manner of plastic. The pivot axis is not centrally located. The former distribution flap is designed as a drum valve, where the latter distribution flap is designed as a butterfly valve. An independent claim is also included for a heating and ventilation apparatus for a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle.
