Module for absorbing energy

The component (3) i.e. crash absorber structure, has a core (5) made up of a polymer foam with density exceeding 0.2 gram per centimeter cube. Pressure-E-modulus of maximum 200 mega Pascal is measured according to DIN EN 826. The core is partially covered with a sleeve (7) enclosed in a polymeric material and/or includes a feeder made up of a polymer material. The polymer material of the sleeve and/or feeder includes maximum density of 2.0 gram per centimeter cube and moving-E-modulus of 700 mega Pascal according to DIN EN ISO 527.
