The giant motor has two cylinders (20), where each cylinder has a hole (B) and a longitudinal axis (A). A lubrication device (10) is arranged for a pump (1) of each cylinder. A distributer (3) is provided with two lubricant lines (8,18), where each lubricant line has a shutoff element (5,15). An independent claim is also included for a method for lubricating a bearing surface of a cylindrical wall of a cylinder of a giant motor.
