"textContent": "The invention concerns a heat transfer arrangement for a fluid-washed body (25;123;124) having first (26;128) and second (32;132) ends and a fluid-washed surface extending there-between. The arrangement comprises a heat transfer member (28;133) extending from the first end at least part way along the body towards the second end. A heat source (27;136) is arranged in use to heat the heat transfer member (28;133) in the vicinity of the first end of the body. A plurality of thermal control layers (29,30,31;134,135) are provided on said heat transfer member, each of said layers having a different thermal conductivity and being juxtaposed so as to create a thermal conductivity profile which varies along the length of the member. The arrangement may be used for prevention of icing of an aerofoil body such as a blade, vane or the like.",
