Assembly and method for fitting an assembly

The assembly (1) has a housing (7) and a component, particularly a cover, which is connected with the housing under maintaining a measurement or a dimensional tolerance. The housing and the component are pushed in each other or at each other along an axis, along which the measurement or the dimensional tolerance is maintained. The housing and the component are connected with each other by crimping under plastic deformation. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting as assembly.
