An electronic device (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) for charging a rechargeable device (9) is provided. The electronic device (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) includes a power supply system (10, 20, 30, 40) and a detecting circuit (11, 21, 31, 41, 71, 81), which is electrically connected with the power supply system (10, 20, 30, 40), wherein the power supply system (10, 20, 30, 40) shuts off a charging operation for the rechargeable device (9) when the detecting circuit (11, 21, 31, 41, 71, 81) detects that the rechargeable device (9) is fully charged.
