The invention relates to an end-fitting tensioner () for a safety belt () comprising a tensioning device (), a hollow belt shaft (), which can be driven in the winding direction by the tensioning device (), and a locking device (), which can lock within the belt shaft () a fitting element () attached in a tension-resistant manner to one end () of the safety belt (), wherein the hollow belt shaft () comprises an insertion slot (), through which the fitting element () attached to the safety belt () can be inserted radially into the interior of the hollow belt shaft (), wherein, when the fitting element () is inserted into the hollow belt shaft (), the locking device () is triggered, and a movable locking element () of the locking device () is shifted from an unlocking position to a locking position that locks the fitting element () in the belt shaft (), and wherein the locking position can be secured by means of a securing element (). According to the invention, it is envisaged that the securing element () is attached to the locking element () and is moved together with the latter during the shifting of the locking element () from the unlocking position of the locking element () into the locking position of the locking element ().
