The secondary battery of the present application comprises an electrolyte solution; the electrolyte solution comprises a solvent and an additive; the solvent comprises ethylene carbonate; the additive comprises 1,3-propane sultone and fluoroethylene carbonate; the percentage mass content of the ethylene carbonate in the electrolyte solution is x %, the percentage mass content of the 1,3-propane sultone in the electrolyte solution is y %, and the percentage mass content of the fluoroethylene carbonate in the electrolyte solution is z %; and the x, the y, and the z satisfy: 10≤x/y≤950 and 2≤x/z≤10.
