An energy storage apparatus for a vehicle includes a cell , a current interruption device which interrupts current of the cell and a management device . When an abnormality of the cell is detected while a vehicle is traveling, the management device changes control of the current interruption device in accordance with a difference in state of the traveling vehicle .
