WATER DIVERTER DEVICE

A water diverter device for includes a hitch receiver that is attachable to a rear end of a vehicle. An angled member is releasably matable to the hitch receiver thereby enabling the angled member to extend rearwardly from the rear end of the vehicle. The angled member extends over an open fire hydrant when the vehicle is parked on a roadway adjacent to a location of the open fire hydrant. A terminal member is matable to the angled member and a diverter plate is attached to the terminal member. The diverter plate is positioned over the open fire hydrant to divert water spraying upwardly from the open fire hydrant into a lateral flow. In this way the water spraying upwardly does not rain down upon a service worker.
