POWDER BRIDGE VALVE METERING DEVICE FOR DRY BATTERY ELECTRODE MANUFACTURING

A powder dispensing apparatus having an elongate wedge-shaped hopper including one or more fluidized plates is described. The powder dispensing apparatus can be positioned above a pair of calender rolls to distribute a powder, such as a dry electrode material onto the calender rolls. Such fluidized wedge shaped hopper advantageously allows for an accurate and/or controlled rate of powder distribution across or substantially across the length of a calender roll.
