Braking device activated by compressing a medium with low pressure and high pressure range

The device (1) has an anti-lock braking system (ABS) pressure control valve (38) connected with an exchanging valve (36) at an output side. The control valve controls pressure controlled by the exchanging valve as control pressure in a brake cylinder (8) depending on brake slip present at a braked wheel for optimally controlling the brake slip. A pressure sensor (22) produces a signal for representing brake pressure requirement e.g. low pressure range requirement and high pressure range requirement, and an electronic control device (11) controls a magnetic valve (32) depending on the signal.
