Labyrinth seal for a turbo engine

The labyrinth seal (1) has multiple elongated sealing lamellas (11,21), which are arranged along a longitudinal direction (LR) of the labyrinth seal side by side and at a distance from each other. A fluid discharge unit (40) is provided to affect a continuous reduction of a specific enthalpy of the working fluid by discharging the working fluid from the labyrinth seal along a flow restrictor (DR).
