Hence, by increasing a collision load to be applied on the bulkhead upper member (18) which is close to a gravity center position of the pedestrian and reducing a collision load to be applied on the bumper beam (16) which is far from the gravity center position of the pedestrian, the angular velocity at which the upper body of the pedestrian falls rearward is reduced and thereby the head of the pedestrian is protected. Moreover, by sufficiently securing the amount of the rearward deformation of the bulkhead upper member (18), the collision energy can be sufficiently absorbed while the collision load to be applied on the hip portion of the pedestrian is prevented from becoming too large.",
