A vehicle interior component (10) in which a back-fastened member (14) such as an upholstery or a noise insulator is fastened to a back side (20) of a resin interior base material (12) with a fastener (22), comprising a fastener-driven rib (24) having plasticity and plate-like shape is integrally formed on the back side (20) of the resin interior base material (12) so as to protrude from the back side in such a posture that the fastener-driven rib (24) is inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the back side (20); and the fastener (22) is driven into the fastener-driven rib (24) so as to pass through the fastener-driven rib (24) in such a posture that the fastener (22) intersects with the fastener-driven rib (24), whereby the fastener (22) is engaged with the fastener-driven rib (24).
