Method for securing a load and load securing system

The method involves attaching a container (9) e.g. food container, at a wall (3) on a loading surface (2). The container is secured in a direction on the surface by a traction mechanism (34), which is directly or indirectly connected with a fastening rail (5). An end of the mechanism is connected with the rail such that the mechanism is guided around an upper part. Another end of the mechanism is connected with the rail such that a component of holding force runs in a direction of the wall in a vertical plane perpendicular to the wall, where the force is transmitted by the mechanism. An independent claim is also included for a load securing system with a fastening rail.
