Hoist for the roof of a land vehicle

The lift has an oblong load support (1) that is articulated at an end of a pivoting arm (6), where another end of the arm is articulated on a ground vehicle or a structure (3). An activating jack (9) is arranged on the vehicle in a manner to act on the arm for driving the pivoting arm in two directions. A guiding unit (13) is arranged at a roof of the vehicle. The support is passed along pivoting direction from a horizontal transport position to an ablong loading position or vice versa, where the ablong loading position is vertical to rear of the vehicle.
