The child carrier includes a seat/cradle and two sets of identical right and left side linkages that allow the seat/cradle to extend outward from a stowed position within the adult seat back into a reclined deployed position. The child carrier also includes separate locking mechanisms that securely locks the seat/cradle in either the stowed and the deployed positions. One locking mechanism physically engages the side linkages to prevent the linkages from in inadvertently collapsing or extending thereby holding the seat/cradle in the desired position.",
