SHIELDING MEMBER AND SHIELDING MECHANISM

A shielding member () that suppresses penetration of noise into a vehicle interior both in a spread sheet state as a single sheet and in a folded state. The shielding member () comprises a flexible sheet member () that has a plurality of plate parts () and an intermediate part () located between adjacent plate parts (). The sheet member () is foldable around the intermediate part () and can selectively assume a state in which the sheet member () is spread as a single plate and a state in which the plurality of plate parts () are folded over each other. The plate parts (), with the exception of the intermediate part (), contain a sound-absorbing layer ().
