DEVICE FOR PRODUCING ROLLED GRAIN LAYER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING ROLLED GRAIN LAYER USING SAME

A production apparatus for a rolled particle layer comprises: a feeding unit for particles; a conveying unit for the fed particles; a support unit for the conveyed particles; a squeegee unit for leveling the particles to form a particle layer; a pair of stock guide units defining the particle layer's width; and a rolling unit rolling the particle layer to form a rolled particle layer. The squeegee unit has a thickness defining portion closest to the support unit. Each stock guide unit includes: a parallel portion including a face parallel to an end face of the squeegee unit and having upstream and downstream end portions respectively located upstream and downstream of the thickness defining portion; and a projecting portion disposed protruding toward the squeegee unit's width center. The stock guide units are disposed so that a distance W between the parallel portions corresponds to the rolled particle layer's width.
