A HVDC transformer configuration for use in electrical power transmission to at least a first AC network and a second AC network. The configuration including a three single phase HVDC transformer, in which each phase includes a first winding connected to a HVDC converter(s) and a second winding connected to both the first AC network and the second AC network; and wherein the second winding of each phase is configured as an auto-transformer and includes a tap connection, the tap connection being connected to a Phase Shifting Transformer to regulate the power transmission to the second AC network.
