The main pump and the auxiliary pump are actuated jointly by a drive unit (18) for delivering pressurized fluid. A bypass connection is formed between a delivery orifice of the auxiliary pump and an unpressurized reservoir (52). Applying units (42) apply a pump protection pressure to main orifices of the main pump when the main pump is actuated while the fluid is not delivered. The drive unit is an internal combustion engine i.e. diesel engine. An independent claim is also included for a transmission system comprising a principal transmission.",
