Electric single wheel drives for a wheelchair

The drive has an axle (3) centrically arranged in a gear housing, and a running wheel of a light vehicle is mounted on the axle. An electro motor (5) is fastened to the gear housing and including a motor shaft that runs eccentric and parallel to the axis of the running wheel. The motor shaft is operated for rotating the running wheel over a gear (7) that is arranged in the drive housing on an inner toothed rim (8) of the running wheel. The motor shaft includes a gear pinion (15), which consists of teeth helically rotating a longitudinal axis of the motor shaft.
