Seating unit with tray assembly

A seating unit comprising a seat (21), a console (22) adjacent the seat and a tray assembly (1). The tray assembly has a tray deployable between a stowed position, in which the tray is horizontally disposed on the console, and a deployed position in which the tray is horizontally disposed and extends across the seat. A deployment mechanism is configured to enable said tray (1) to pivot into and out of its stowed position through 180° about a horizontal axis in the fore-and-aft direction. The tray is towed in an enclosure on the top of the console, the enclosure having a lid (2) that can be closed when the tray is deployed.
