This invention relates to a device for diffused lighting for vehicle interiors that includes one or more light sources and that is located outside the field of vision of the driver of the vehicle. Drivers, especially following refractive surgery, manifest debilitating effects and symptoms of dazzling. The mioisis caused by the diffused light of this invention improves the driver's visual performance, in terms of quality of vision.
