For each of the different contingencies, it is quantified how impactful the individual outage of the respective piece of equipment would be to the system's performance. For example, this may be quantified across multiple dimensions of performance, by calculating dimension-specific scores for the respective dimensions and synthesizing the dimension-specific scores into a unified criticality score for a piece of equipment. Regardless, the criticality scores for the pieces of equipment may better inform control of the electrical power system.",
