Electrically actuated handbrake and method for controlling same

The electrically operating parking brake system comprises a control valve unit (22), which has a control piston (100), a primary working port (20), a secondary working port (24), a ventilation port (70), and a pneumatic control inlet (50). The pneumatic control inlet is coupled indirectly with the control inlet of a relay valve for the parking brake. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring an electrically operating parking brake system.
