Assisting a user in arriving at a destination in time

To allow a user to select a route to the destination himself the invention suggests a method for assisting a user in arriving at a destination point (202) within a time limit. The method comprises the steps of: (i) Receiving a determined position (201) and the destination point (202), (ii) estimating an accessible geographic area which can be traversed by the user with a predetermined speed before reaching the destination within the time limit, when starting from the determined position (201), and (iii) providing information on the estimated accessible area (203) for presentation to the user. Furthermore, the invention relates to a computer program and a system for executing the method.
