Translation curves applied for different speeds of the motor vehicle are stored in a computer (3), where the translation curves depicts translation of operating level of an actuator e.g. gas ring (1), in a hub of an accelerator pedal (4) i.e. electronic accelerator pedal. Translation curves are evaluated by the computer for actuating the pedal with the hub, which corresponds to the translation curves, based on the speed signal supplied by the speed sensor. An independent claim is also included for a device for accelerating a motor vehicle.",
