Wind farm and method for operating a wind farm

The method involves transporting electrical energy produced in a windpark to a transmission station (12) by a windpark internal network (11). The electrical energy is transformed to a voltage before passing the electrical energy to an external network (14), where the voltage is greater than the voltage in the windpark internal network at a selectable transmission ratio. Electrical load of a wind turbine (10) of the windpark is determined. The transmission ratio is adjusted depending on the electrical load of the wind turbine. An independent claim is also included for a windpark comprising a transmission station.
