Wiper blade rubber and production method

The rubber (2) has an upper surface provided with an upper surface layer (3) i.e. foil, which is hydrophobic with a contact angle with respect to water greater than 120 degree, where the rubber is made from a vulcanizable elastomer material. A surface structure is provided with elevations and/or recesses in a micrometer range. The upper surface layer is made of particles with particle size of 50 micrometer. The particles are made of material such as polyethylene, polyamide, polypropylene, polytetrafluroethylene, minerals, silicate, metal oxide, unburned carbon and metal powder. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a wiper blade rubber for a windscreen wiper of a motor vehicle.
