The system (10) has a cylinder-shaped housing (11) comprising a retaining area (22) that is coupled with a pipeline of a fuel supply-line system (21). An elastic body (12) is arranged in the area and deformable by impact produced through flowing of fuel into the line system during opening of a tank shut-off device of the line system in such a manner that the impact is damped, where the body is designed as a bellows. The elastic body is made from metal i.e. titanium, and a spring (13) is arranged in an inner side of the elastic body for adjusting spring rigidity of the attenuation system. An independent claim is also included for a spacecraft propulsion system comprising a power train and an attenuation system.
