The element (10) has a base plate (12) made of sheet metal, and a sleeve-shaped retainer (14) formed at the base plate as a single piece by deep-drawing of the sheet metal. A transition section is angularly formed between the sleeve-shaped retainer and the base plate by compressing the sleeve-shaped retainer. The angular transition section has edge radius that is smaller than deep-drawing radius for forming the retainer made of the sheet metal. An elevated side wall (20) is formed at the base plate, and is arranged at a distance to the retainer.
