A connector (1,100) has a first connector portion (2) having a first housing (5) with first connecting terminals (4a-4c) aligned and accommodated therein, and a second connector portion (3) having a second housing (7) with second connecting terminals (6a-6c) aligned and accommodated therein. When the first connector portion (2) and the second connector portion (3) are mated with each other, one side of the first connecting terminals (4a-4c) and one side of the second connecting terminals (6a-6c) faces each other to form pairs, respectively, so that a stacked structure of the pairs of the first connecting terminals (4a-4c) and the second connecting terminals (6a-6c) are alternately interleaved. Isolating members (8a-8d) are aligned and accommodated in the first housing (5) of the first connector portion (2) and fixed to other side of the first connecting terminals (4a-4c), respectively. A connecting member (9) presses the adjacent isolating member (8a-8d) to collectively fix the first connecting terminals (4a-4c) and the second connecting terminals (6a-6c) at the contacts therebetween.
