Display control apparatus, navigation system and display control method

It is provided a display control apparatus comprising: a display unit that displays a plurality of images in respective areas on a screen; an illuminating unit that includes a plurality of light sources that are configured to be set so as to have different power consumptions each other, and that illuminates the images displayed on the display unit; a determination unit that determines a luminance need required on the screen for each of the images displayed on the display unit; and an illuminating control unit that controls the power consumptions of the light sources corresponding to the areas that display the respective images on the display unit on the basis of the determined luminance needs.
