The device (30) has an annular support structure (31) mounted around a wheel rim (10) for supporting a tire cover (20) and divided into ring sectors (32) which are mutually articulated by connection units. The connection units are arranged between two lateral sides (32c) of the sectors and comprise axles (33a) e.g. clevis pins, extending in an axial direction. The axles are fixed on two connection ends relative to the sectors and are connected by a pin or articulated attachment (33b) which extends in a circumferential direction of the device. An independent claim is also included for a tubeless mounted assembly for a motor vehicle.
